WorkEtc Email Dropbox Task, Project and Support dropbox - endless versatility
I have been using the WorkEtc CRM, Project Manager, Support Ticketing, Invoicing .... application for several months now. I have not had a chance to exhaustively write about the many features and possibilities that this promising application provides to its users, and their customers and collaborators. I am taking this opportunity to review a fresh new feature that has been available in other applications, but that makes a significantly positive difference on WorkEtc.
Overview of WorkEtc
Formerly known as Veetro, WorkEtc is a suite of end-to-end applications that are enable a small or medium business to provide coherent services to its customers. The suite consists of: Lead collection, Opportunity management, Project management, Customer support, Invoicing, and accounts management and reporting features. By providing these features is a single application, WorkEtc makes it possible for you (the business owner) to conduct your business without having to run multiple appllications and take care to ensure that ifnormation remains in sych across all nodes in the series.
New Feature - Email dropbox
Formerly, the application has had the ability to monitor a POP email account and create support tickets, or update existing tickets using incoming email messages. As of last week, this feature has been extended to provide a host of new possibilities and feature as listed below:
- Support Ticket Management: As outlined above, customers can send email to a monitored account that WorkEtc monitors and creates tickets from. If the incoming message as a special string in the subject, [#0-7654], the system will match the contents with an existing ticket and append the email message as a note.
- Project/Task Collection: Sufficiently permissioned users cans end email messages to the monitored account with [todo] or [contact] or [expense] or [event] etc in the subject line, as well as provide information for other fields (using variable:value pairs) thus making it possible to create new project items
- Project/Task Improvement: Knowing the EntryID, a well permissioned user can send or forward emails to the system to add new information to an existing task or project by simply placing the EntryID of the task or project in question in the subject [#0-9876] this makes it possible to quickly add new information during meetings, or from any tool that supports email (everything under the sun supports email)
- Message Reallocation: Once messages come in and are automatically sorted and assigned to new or existing items, they can easily be moved to other items using an intuitive feature.
