Blog from a new perspective: Technology, Web Design, and Development
Web Design and Development like many of the technology fields is a constantly changing evolving domain in which innovation and change are the norm and the basic guidelines by which one must live and work in order to succeed and continue to be at the forefront.
How is this related to you and to this site?
Taking a step back, it is clear that the days of lengthy cycles of content and information editorial are long gone. Blogs are the way to go, and even the traditional field of publishing has changed to fit this trend. In the near and distant future, the time that it takes for ideas to be shared will continue to shrink. This is already visible in the change from one-to-many format of web content production, to blogs, and now to the new and upcoming services that enable anyone in the community to contribute to existing and new idea by commenting, or by simply sharing an idea in a few lines using services such as iStalkr, Tumblr and Twitter (just to name a few). Not only are the new services enabling people to share ideas before they can develop and package them in isolation, but they are also making this sharing possible anywhere, and anytime without necessarily using a traditional computer or traditional Internet access device. It is commonplace to update ones twitter or Tumblr log using SMS or email.
Innovative and constantly growing and powerful content management systems such as Drupal have the facility to integrate this ad-hoc update system through RSS and innovative update modules such as Mailhandler.
My point that has now been very long coming is that I will be updating this blog even more regularly using the above described infrastructure tools, and departing from the previously lengthy documents that were posted, and will continue to be posted when a detailed and in depth review and description is necessary, I will be posting regular short ideas. As always, and even more so at this time, you are welcome to comment on these ideas, post some of your own and start a healthy discussion.
