Mail could not be sent to the admin user. Please check the admin emailid/Server settings - Vtiger CRM
One of the many indispensable features of any CRM application and Vtiger CRM in particular is the ability to process incoming and outgoing email ad part of the communication collateral that is related to the path of a prospective business relationship through the various steps from inquiry to repeat business.
The instance of Vtiger CRM 5.0.3 on test is currently unable to send email, or properly display incoming email.
Incoming email meant to display under the Webmail menu selection in the various menu tabs. The problem is that incoming email is not being displayed. After four (4) days of testing the application, I have only been able to see a populated view of the IMAP4 email folders once. The most probable cause of this is the fact that there are currently too many emails for Vtiger CRM to properly browser the IMAP folders and display it without timing out. Going forward, I will start testing with an email account with fewer messages to process.
Outgoing email is giving a more distinct error message. Mail could not be sent to the admin user. Please check the admin emailid/Server settings
Attempting to send am email gives an error message suggesting to verify that the outgoing email settings (SMTP) are properly setup with the following error message.
Please configure your outgoing mailserver under Settings ---> Outgoing Server link
