HTML-Kit Tools for Windows crashing Sony Vaio PC - Second test environment

Previously, I described a situation in which the Alpha test version for HTML-Kit tools for windows that I have been testing for some time was causing my HP laptop to crash when I made operations that required the application to search a local or FTP file system. I have repeatedly reported this issue to the Chami HTML-Kit development team, and they have been either unable to duplicate the issue, or they have not found a relationship between their application, and the error notes generated my Windows XP during the crash.

Recently, I obtained a second PC, a Sony Viao that I have been using, and for two days after installing HTML-Kit tools for Windows, the system has been running without any problems. I was beginning to feel guilty for having heaped blame on the otherwise fine application which has numerous improvements over the classic HTML-Kit version 292 application which was itself miles ahead of the competition. However, today, the application suddenly crashed when I tried to open and access a file on an FTP server. I am now quite confident that this problem that is causing Windows to suddenly crash (loose of work) can be traced to HTML-Kit tools for Windows. I have so far been very impressed with this application and I am still impressed and quite happy with its more stable predecessor (HTML-Kit 292), and hopefully, when the alpha version of HTML-Kit tools for windows moves to beta and Release Candidate status, it will be more stable and usable. I am partly to blame for regularly using an application that is clearly in Alpha version, but the Chami team not having been able to reproduce the issue, and their denial that the application is not at the root fo the problem has made me want and plan to move to a different web production environment. Also, I have been working on migrating from using Microsoft Windows, to use Ubuntu, and Apple as my main operating system environments. The fact that HTML-Kit tools for Linux will not see light of day may mean that I will story using HTML-Kit for good.

Please do not take my analysis of this situation as a broad condemnation of Chami HTML-kit. It is my opinion based on the experiences I have had, and my stage in life (I am moving away from Windows, which is the main environment for HTML-Kit). I encourage everyone who writes ASCII-based code to try and enjoy the many features and cleaver design of the application environment that Chami HTML-Kit offer. Maybe if more if us can report this errors to Chami with more precise information, they might be able to find and correct he problem
